Cheba Hut II in Tempe

Cheba Hut is not your typical sandwich shop. The place is chock-full of references to cannabis. Even if you can't stand THC (me), you'll ignore the decor & enjoy the beautifully handcrafted sandwiches that they serve. This is no Subway. Even if you're a square like me, give this place a try.

Always fresh and high quality food

I have loved Cheba Hut since the first time going in. It's so great to see their expansion. From their "toasted" subs to their treats...the best ever!

Very busy and very small place. Not enough seating and it's hard to move around inside because the walk way to the soda fountain and order puck up is very narrow and people are cramped in like sardines. The sandwiches are good but the Tempe location's sandwiches are better tasting (not as dry). I would suggest they remodel the interior seating arrangement and maybe move the soda fountain up front. Does this location really use the "bar" area/counter? Change where or how people pick up to-go orders? Possibly, find out what the Tempe store is doing differently to their sandwiches.

Food was great. I had the ak-57 ( French dip) omg it 😋 yummy.

Cheba Hut is absolutely delicious! Used to get the La Cana which was always amazing but I'm currently not eating meat so Ive switched to the Humboldt minus a couple things & it too is so yummy. They have the most incredible garlic bread & its perfect every time! Everyone there is super nice & friendly. Love that they have a little bar as well, Scrimshaw is on tap & is really good. Very impressed with how amazing their sandwiches are. Honestly not sure I can eat other subs now, I'll just have to keep going back here and try each one. Great selection of drinks also. If I could give this place 420 stars, I would.

Fun, little cannabis-themed sandwich "joint" (lol), with 3 different sizes of hot and cold sandwiches, to satisfy any appetite or palette. The sandwiches are toasted. Oh, they also have yummy cereal treats.

This location tends to be busy during lunch but it's worth the wait. Great customer service, they are fast and the food is always great. It's been a while since I've been to the Tempe location. They have add a bar were you can now get some good beers on tap.

The food is always prepared with fresh and usually healthy ingredients (depending on what you’re ordering). The atmosphere is geared towards stoners, with quirky names for menu items. Although I am not a vegetarian, I almost always order the power plant sandwich; their hummus and avocado are dank! (Don’t forget the munchies <3)

Amazing sandwiches. Delicious cereal bars. Kool-aid. Can't go wrong at all! Haven't had a sandwich I disliked here, yet. The veggie sandwiches are actually hardy and flavorful. Happy to see Cheba growing and expanding as a successful franchise.... wish I had the capital to get one for myself!

Extremely good sandwiches here. Especially when you want vegetarian sub this is probably the best place in town to go to you. The people are cool and it’s definitely a fun atmosphere. Recommended for their salads and wonderful subs.

I’ve been coming to Cheeba Hut since it first opened & the prices have went up while the quality has gone way down! I paid over $9 for a pinner & the bread was smaller and not even freakin toasted. How disappointing....I’m done w this place.

The sandwiches arrived perfectly toasted and well put together by friendly staff. It's not stuffed so annoyingly full that you can't put the sandwich in your mouth either. I also like that they participate in a little rewards program that can allow you to earn things like free drink and chips too by putting in your phone number to register. They play the best music selection! It doesn't seem to ever loop back to the same song like Pandora does. 10/10 will come again.

Cheba Hut toasted subs is incredibly delicious! Definitely a fun place to visit with friends and if you take family you might learn a thing or two about them that you never knew! I personally love the variety of sandwiches and the dessert or "munchie" options are some of the best around. Another great detail? Let's say your torn between two of your favorite sandwiches.... instead of getting half of each you can get a full sized (or a blunt) and just combine them! The garlic bread is some of the best sandwich bread I've ever had. I would definitely reccomend cheba hut to friends, family, and co workers. I believe they cater as well!

One of the few things I miss about living in Arizona was having this place within easy walking distance from my apartment. I think I ate here at least 3 times a week and maybe more at times I loved it so much. Great food and the people working there were cool when I lived there. If I ever make it back to Arizona, I'm for sure going to visit this place again.

Really amazing sandwiches for a good price. Couple bucks more than subway but much better food and it's a local business. My only mark off is that the place feels like it's trying really hard for a "cool stoner vibe" and it's just meh. But that's likely just personal taste.

Pretty interesting place, especially for first timers, I haven't tried their food yet, but the subs I delivered smelled delicious! The place is spacious inside and clean. They don't have Zig Zag Cones Though...

A fun and happy moment in your day that even a small glimpse of the memory will always constitute a smile!

This is by far my favorite sandwich place. It's always a really chill vibe to come and just enjoy a good sub sandwich. They do have bar and you can order drinks if you want. If your not trying to drink they have coolade that's made the right way every time super sweet like I should be. Not to mention there sweet munchies for desert to take home. Tempe loves your Cheba Hut!

Never fails to satisfy. This place is incredible. Such a fun, groovy vibe inside and everyone who works here is always so fun to be around. The fact that they have Kool aid is a big win for me. The first time that my husband and I tried Cheba Hut, it was in Colorado. When we moved to Arizona we were excited to find Cheba here, too. Always fresh and delicious ingredients. The creativity with their sandwiches and treats is yummy too! We personally enjoy the White Widow on Garlic bread, however you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. It’s nice that they offer vegetarian options as well.

Don't be put of by the Stoner theme and give this place a shot. These are some of the best sandwiches you can get in the Valley.

This is my least favorite of all the locations, and I got to all of them, literally all the states they are in I have lived and frequented. That being said I really don’t have a good meal anytime I go. They have the best intentions, I honestly think the kitchen there is probably the issue. They really could use some more training or something? Anyways maybe each time I go it’s just an off time for them, but I have tried more than a handful of times now with no success. I would NOT rate this a daily eater.

Meatball sandwhich had black sauce and meatballs were old black and greenish looking. Not sanitary food preparation in the wrapper.

This was the spot I had my first Cheba Hut experience and I have been in love since. I always get the La Canna as I love italian sandwiches but they use great ingredients and it always tastes like it's made with Love. Plus Kool- aid - I am always available to be signed up for eating at Cheba Hut!

Love this place, the Pot Theme is a little over the top but good sandwiches and fast service. Lots of choices too. Enjoy I always do

On of my favorite restaurant in az..the subs are amazing. The staff is always happy and ready to help you with anything i recomend the dank. Restrooms can use a touch up.

As far as subs go this is THE place hands down. Personally I like the red bird (chicken parm) but frankly I have not had one yet that has disappointed. The service is quick and very friendly, great local atmosphere most of the time, sometimes the college groups overwhelm the place but if that's the worst thing than your doing something right! There is a full bar, very small but it's there! Great place to grab a drink after work, I highly recommend trying them out.

Pretty tasty subs at this restaurant. Seating is pretty open but they don't regularly clean the tables when they are busy so you may have to do your own table cleaning if you're coming it for lunch. Parking is tough since the parking lot is very small and there are several restaurants and stores sharing it.

The place is fun, and is one of the best sandwich shops around. Sandwich is hot and the ingredients are fresh, with flavors over the top.

Food was good but the staff shouldn't be tipping themselves and not telling the customers. Look at the bank statement and its different. I been coming here for years staff has changed.

The food is fantastic! Great variety, fresh tasting, best portions and awesome prices! Be warned, the blunt size is huge and loaded! Definitely worth it if you are hungry or have a big appetite! The service was excellent and the atmosphere is chill. Cool people and goodtimes!
